Marta Abbott and Emilia Burchiellaro
Curated by Elisabetta Tiziana Villa

A sottovoce | the sensitive trajectories of gesture, is the title of the project through which Galleria mini_ma articulates its 2026 exhibition program: a line of research conceived as a field of listening, where artistic practices unfold within a dimension of relation, attention, and proximity.

The exhibition presents the works of Marta Abbott and Emilia Burchiellaro, in a dialogue between practices that explore the persistence of the unspoken and the processes of material transformation. Through ceramics, cyanotype, and painting, the exhibition investigates a sensitive and relational dimension of artistic making, proposing a reflection on the relationship between interiority, nature, and time. In the dialogue between the two artists, the unspoken and the not-yet-formed converge: on one side, the silent persistence of inner aspirations; on the other, the slow metamorphosis of matter.

In both practices, it is not the declared that matters, but the act of transforming, of coming into form; not evidence, but a perceptual threshold. The exhibition thus takes shape as an experience in which perception deepens through a multidisciplinary and sensory dimension. In a sottovoce becomes a mode of knowledge: an invitation to pause, observe, and listen.

A space, finally, where what remains unspoken can continue to exist — in a sottovoce.
